It is fun to watch the olympics with my 4 year old. He is engaged and amazed at all the talent in the olympics. Not to mention all the cool sports that we never usually get to see. Gymanstics seems to be our favorite. He makes it clear that the girls are much better than the guys, which I tend to agree with after watching both perform over the weekend. It has been fun to watch and we can't wait to watch some more tonight!
So, our neighbors got a pool recently. We have little kids so it is a bit scary to let them be around pools. I keep a very close eye on them at this age. I wouldn't even know where to go to find out all the details for getting the right swimming pool equipment. I guess I would start at some place like jandy aqualink and do some research on what to get and what I would need. Maybe when our kids get a bit older we can make the plunge!
I've seen quite a few broken down motorcycles lately. I don't know much about them but I know I have seen some very nice Harley Davidson's lately and was thinking to myself, "why don't they fix that bike? Has it really been 4 years since all we heard about was Michael Phelps winning 8 gold medals and everything was about him? I can't believe it! And I can't believe how he isn't the best swimmer anymore. I thought he would be even better but he didn't even medal in his first race and got silver (his first silver ever) in his second. So strange to see him drop from dominance so quickly!

When we recently had family pictures, we all wanted to look alike. We all got the same colors for clothes and it looked really cute! We had a great time even though it was over 100 degrees and the kids were sweating up a storm! We thought about getting turquise beads since they matched our outfits and even got ties for the boys to wear and bows and headbands for the girls. We had a blast!
There are so many music gadgets and equipment today. It seems with technology everything changes. There are br1600cd equipment, microphones and even all the apps that there are now for helping with mixing and recording music. It is pretty amazing at how far we have come. It is even weirder to think how far we will still go in the next 10-20 years!
I am still thinking of the passing of a friend. I wonder to myself if he is in heaven or not. I so hope so! I remember conversations where he doubted whether the Bible was ALL true or not. I didn't know him well enough to ever hear whether he confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior but I sure hope so. he was such a neat man and I would love to see him again some day!!!!
We are at a point in our life where it seems all our friends have multiple babies and are having more! It is a wonderful time in our lives and we are blessed to have so many close friends. With all the babies coming, it means looking for baby shower favors when helping with their showers to celebrate the new life! It also menas getting to come together to hang out and sing praises for how blessed we all are to have such amazing friends and family!

It is with a heavy heart that I write this post. This past weekend we lost a friend and co-worker. He was hiking when he fell off a cliff and died due to his injuries. He was a very neat person who cared deeply for others and was very active. My heart goes out to his 2 young daughters. I couldn't imagine losing my father, let alone losing him at a young age. So sad.
Well, we haven't had any problems with this so far during the summer, since we have had no rain. But, outdoor covers are sure nice if you like to be outdoors and spend time in the yard but also want to have some cover or protection over you and your family. I think they are a great investment and look nice as well.Well worth the money!
