Goals

So lately we'e been hard core budgeting and planning for a house. We pray that by May 2009 we will have $20,000 saved up for a nice down payment on a house. Bugeting you'd think would be easy but there's so many little things that happen each month that you don't rely on paying for- like oh our air purifier needs a new filter, our car registration is due, oh I need a swim suit cause I don't have one, Emry's starting solids so we need a food processor this month, etc.. Those things add up and make it hard to save. But we can only rely on God and know that he will provide for our every need, and that he will find a way to put us in that dream house of ours. This world is FULL of so many things we want, we just have to look past and see what we really need.

Getting tough...

Many of you know that I would like to get in shape. I have even posted on my distaste for getting older and having to worry about my weight and health so much. When I was younger my parents had a weight room in our house and I remember how expensive the equipment was. I don't know how we afforded it. Today it is a lot different as the fitness equipment is much more reasonable and is much better quality than what I remember owning. I have always been a fan of pills since they are easy but I may need to actually stand up and work out if I want to see my desired results. With all the equipment out there, I am sure I can find something that I wouldn't mind using.

Losing Weight

It is not fun getting older and having to think about watching you weight. I remember when I was younger I could eat whatever I wanted and wouldn't gain a pound. Well, that has definitely changed and now I find myself stopping on the comercials that show an exercise machine or weight loss pill. I never thought I would be that person. I have looked at different steppers, cardio equipment, and lipovox. I am sure with the right diet all of them would work for me, but the pills seem more helpful than some of the equipment out there.

House hunting

Thinking of moving into a house is exhausting! I mean, we have to consider furnishing it after having all of our apartments furnished for us so far over the past three years we have been married. I have looked into couches, chairs, tables, exterior shutters, windows, etc. and it is a real undertaking. Maybe the most important part of the house is the outside since that is what everyone sees, so windows and shutters are right at the top of the list. We will definitely need to find the money to do this whenever we buy a house though, as these things are musts when making the house "yours."

Economy, War, and Medicare.. All hot topics!

Politics are so popular and heated right now. From the democratic race to the overall presidential race, it is all we see on TV. They are talking about the economy, the war, and even medicare. When we hear them speak about the economy they mention all kinds of ideas, and same with the war. I haven't heard anyone speak about medicare part d before but I assume it will since it offers medicare solutions, which everyone should be interested in. We will just have to wait and see how this whole thing plays out over the next year. It should be very interesting, that's for sure!
