Stephon Marbury defends Michael Vick's dogfighting! Now he says Vick is wrong!

Stephon Marbury is busy opening his mouth, as usual. This time, it was to defend Michael Vick. Marbury blamed "us" for the situation, and then he realized what a fool he was and came out today, saying he doesn't defend Vick but he says that, "I don't think [Vick's] right. But this dude is trying to ask for forgiveness.".. more on this in a minute.

So, we all know that Stephon Marbury is known for speaking before he thinks, but he actually came out and said, "From what I hear, dogfighting is a sport. It's just behind closed doors and I think it's tough that we build Michael Vick up and then we break him down ... I think he fell into a bad situation."... I would like Marbury to explain how we are at fault for Vick being an idiot. How are we at fault for "breaking him down?" Lets clear something up... Michael Vick did not "fall" into a bad situation, he CHOSE to live in the spotlight, and CHOSE to break the law. I have not heard any media outlets be abusive towards Vick. Sure, they discuss the topic, detest Vick's actions and are speaking their minds, but I don't think that is unfair at all! Vick could have easily avoided this kind of attention by NOT dogfighting. Don't blame the media for Vick's actions!

How did Marbury try to backup these statements? Well he compared dogfighting to deer hunting, "We don't say anything about people shooting deers and shooting other animals, you know what I mean?"... Actually Marbs, I have NO idea what you mean. How can you compare electrocuting dogs that don't meet your fighting expectations, to shooting for eating? I don't even need to answer this.

Now, lets briefly discuss Marbury's most recent comments, where he attempts to cover his foolish statements. Marbury said, "I don't think [Vick's] right. But this dude is trying to ask for forgiveness. ... The way the way it's going about in the newspapers and TV, it's ridiculous." Don't you just love how yesterday he was saying that dogfighting is like deer hunting, and now he comes out and says he doesn't agree with Vick? I love how he says this and then goes right back into defending him, saying that Vick asked forgiveness.

So, because Vick asked forgiveness means that the media should just forget about it and leave the story alone? I would argue that Vick hasn't really apologized in the first place. Saying sorry and then making all kinds of excuses is not really apologizing.

Hey Starbury, just keep your mouth shut... every time you open it you say something stupid.
