Fun Filled Weekend!

Well, after we clean the house tonight we are going to be ready to have company over on Saturday. We are having a mini kiddy fair with a small petting zoo, chickens, movie on the barn, and grilling food on our fire pit! I can't wait!!!

Doing Well So Far...

Well, I am doing well in my Fantasy Football Leagues again this year. I won a couple last year and am getting lucky again. I have found it is all about who you pick up from the waiver wire or free agency that make a difference. Last year I snagged Michael Vick in a couple leagues and it ended up making the difference. This year I have picked up a couple sleepers who have helped me. Although, I wish I would have gotten Cam Newton. Someone else had a lower waiver wire priority and got him before I could. Dang!

Bring back the NBA!

I love the NFL, but I am very sad the NBA hasn't reached a deal yet! I hope there is a season and that the Mavericks can defend their championship! As much as I love other sports, there just isn't anything that compares to the NBA, in my opinion. I think they are losing fans by the minute though, with all the fighting back and forth and not reaching a deal. NO ONE feels sorry for the players or owners. They are all millionaires (or billionaires), so stop being greedy and make a deal!

Back to work

Today will be nice. I have been out of my office for the past 3 days traveling. It will be nice to be in the office and just be able to get work done and spend time with my co-workers. I do love the traveling portion of my position but it is draining having to be in a car so much. It refreshes me to get back and take things slow for a bit before I head out on the next trip! Not to mention, work seems to pile up when I'm not here :)

Backing up your stuff!

I was listening to the radio this morning and heard them talking about this site that you can pay a subscription to and it will backup everything on your computer. Sounds very helpful! Although, that just means we would fill that time with more stuff and make us even busier than we already are. Maybe I need to stop keeping up with technology and take a step back and slow down!

Technology!

Today when I was working off campus I got into discussing iPads with one of the guys I met there. He then pulls out this tiny little laptop which was almost smaller than the iPad. I couldn't believe it. I guess it's like one of those hp mini laptops or something like that. Technology is getting crazy! I can't keep up! Help me someone, please!!!!!

Competition in the Office

So, no one in our office is very athletic, but that doesn't stop us from talking a little trash. Last year we were in a campus wide basketball tournament and did okay. The others in our office challenged us to a game and we even went as far as trying to create a trophy. You know, like a real one, like cheerleading trophies and other cool trophies you may have seen before. I just hope no one gets hurt out there on the court! ha

Farm Life

How much fun has the last year been? I can't believe it has been this long already! We have started so many projects and still have a lot left, but I am having a blast with all of them! I have borrowed so many tools so the next step is to start buying more tools. We need anything from abrasives to saws. We have gotten some but if we plan to do these kinds of projects all the time then we need to get some of our own tools. Winter is going to slow things down a bit but we will prepare for Spring!
